Maternity Pictures part 2 and Giveaway

Hey!!

First things first! My favorite thing so far about pregnancy has been baby shopping. I definitely always shop with comfort in mind for my little one and that’s how I found Copper Pearl! They have the softest baby items and I love their swaddles so much I’ve decided to give one away. If you are interested please go check my IG:heyhayleyhall to enter.

Now for my pictures…I know you are thinking “two maternity sessions what?” Let me explain. : )

Photos are very important to me because they capture you in a certain moment or milestone in life. I chose to have very different sets of maternity pictures so I could look back at the different stages of my pregnancy. These were taken during the third trimester and are so special to Zack and I. They represent where we are at in life right now. I was so happy to be able to have them taken in my home state of Oklahoma and have photos of Zack in his uniform.

A really good friend of mine took these and she also happens to be an amazing photographer! Kim was super easy to work with and she’s great at posing you. We were so comfortable with her and got some amazing photos to cherish forever. She shoots around Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas so if you are local check out her work!! Her IG is: kimchristinephoto

Website: www.kimchristinephotography.com/

It was absolutely freezing the day we took these and the Oklahoma wind was in full force per usual but these are so beautiful and you can’t tell it was cold at all.

Maternity Photos and bumpdate

Hey guys,

This week I want to share my maternity session with you all. My amazing friend and photographer, Carli, took these! You can find her page here:https://m.facebook.com/cwalravenphotography/

We had so much fun with these photos and can’t wait to frame them. 😍

AND

For those of you who don’t follow my social media, my husband and I announced the gender of our baby there. We are having a little baby….BOY!!

We chose the rainbow stairs to honor the memory of our angel babies and celebrate the new life of our current baby! For those who don’t know what a rainbow Baby is- a Baby born after the loss of a child. That’s where the saying, “After every storm, there is a rainbow..” came from and I love really love that. 😊

Bumpdate: We are over halfway there to his due date! I crave all things salty/sweet. There is a 4-d ultra sound coming up soon and I cant wait to see what little man looks like. Last thing, I’m on the hunt for a good diaper bag backpack. If you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments!!

I hope you like these photos as much as I do! We can’t wait to welcome our sweet little boy into the world this spring and there will be more bump dates as we get closer to meeting him. -Hayley

Crop Tops and Denim

I’ve been on a shopping kick lately and I threw this casual outfit together. I liked it so much I thought I’d share the details for you guys! All outfit details will be below.

Top: F21// Bottoms: Rosie Daze Boutique *Hidden Denim brand// Shoes: Steve Madden Slides, Similar style //Bandana: F21

This crop top is actually really soft, I did pair it with a white bralette because the material is somewhat see-through. I sized up for a comfy fit. It’s the perfect length if you’re on the shorter side like me. If you are tall, I recommend wearing a high-waisted bottom with this top.

This bandana is pure silky softness and not to mention a huge trend right now. No need to pay $25 , just go buy a bandana from F21! They are the best I’ve tried so far.

The shoes are the Steve Madden slides with a more cushioned foot bed. They are so comfy and made from real leather. I recommend going up a half-size because these run a little small. This would be a great staple shoe to add to your closet.

Last but not least…THESE.SHORTS.Y’ALL. Go buy a pair! I 1000% recommend. These are High-waisted, well-made, ripped but not too much, so comfy, and they aren’t too short-they have that high low look a lot of shorts seem to have now. This denim does run a little big in my opinion so for a more fitted look, size down! They are from Rosie Daze boutique but I’ve also linked the brands website because I’m not sure what sizes are left on the boutique.

Let me know your favorite summer trend below. I love hearing what everyone likes! That’s all!

It Comes Naturally box review

Hey guys!

Today I will be talking about a curated gift box company. I personally love subscription/curated boxes and anything that takes the hassle out of picking things out myself. If you are interested keep reading and as always thank you for the continued support, it means so much to me!

It Comes Naturally is the sweetest little small business run by a mother/daughter duo. It’s obvious that each box is created with intentional thought and care. I received the “For the Home box”  recently and I honestly love it! It is packed full of products that I would personally use all the time and the price point is fair. All of the products are very good quality and my favorite part about this box is the handwritten note. I love the personalization of this and think in a world of social media that it’s a great way to connect with people.

The cutest packaging! Simple white box with the brand’s logo on a sticker

This box includes: An air plant, a notepad and mini spatula, the cutest coasters, a candle w/ matches (I love candles in the summertime!), and a handwritten card.

I love the decorative pine cone and box filler. It is the perfect touch!

These boxes would make perfect gifts for all the special people in your life, I think they have boxes for just about every type of person. There are three different levels/price points so there are plenty of options. I’ll do a breakdown of these for you below ↓↓↓

  • Succulent Sentiment-includes a succulent and a handwritten card (cutest!)  for $15
    • The card options for this box are: Thank You, Sympathy, Baby, Wedding, Birthday, Anniversary, Get Well, Congratulations, and one option to personalize however you like.
  • Here’s To You box– 3 unique gifts, an air plant and a handwritten card  for $35
    • The options for this box are: Graduation box, Man box, Mama Bear box, Wedding box, Baby box, Comfort box, For the Home box, Dogs Rule box.
  • Get Outside box– 5 unique gifts, an air plant, and a handwritten card for $55
    • These are considered hobby boxes and the options are: Take a Hike, Happy Camper, Be prepared (wilderness), Get Growing (garden), Gone Fishing, Hit the Road (road trip), Enjoy the Ride (cycling).

With Father’s Day coming up any of the hobby boxes or the man box would be perfect for the Dad or Father figure in your life. Their website and social media are linked below for you guys to check out.

White Sands, New Mexico

Hey guys!!

Sorry, I have been MIA the last few weeks, I have had so much going on. I’m back though and I’m really excited to share a little travel gem with you today!!

My husband and I wanted to take a day trip so we drove to White Sands. We have seen SO many gorgeous pictures taken there and I heard you could sled down the dunes so we thought, why not?! They also have a campground, which would be perfect for night photography out there.

The park is free and easy to access. They have an interactive museum (perfect for your kiddos) inside that shows what habitat lives in the park as well as about the sand itself. It’s made of gypsum and it’s crazy bright so bring sunglasses! You’ll need them. They have a few look out points within the park with informational signs. The real fun starts when you get to the middle of the park though. They have these huge dunes and pull off points for sledding. They have the sleds available for purchase in the gift shop, we got a funky orange tye-dye sled. It was seriously so much fun, we probably stayed out there for two hours just sledding and playing in the sand. Fun fact: Water is below the sand and if you stick your dig your feet in the sand is cold! Here are some of the pictures we took!! They have picnic areas so you could literally spend all day out there! Here are some pictures we took:

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Hey guys!

I have rounded up my top picks for Mother’s Day! Hopefully, it will make gift shopping a little easier this year. Every mom works so hard and they do not always get the recognition they deserve. I personally appreciate my mom for all she has done for me over the years. She is driven, kind, smart, and a girl boss. Can anyone say goals?! So, thank you, mom, for being such an inspiration!

(Pioneer Woman Merc. in Pawhuska, OK.)

(Dad’s Day in Stillwater, OK.)

I have created this post with every kind of mom in mind so there is a little bit of something for everybody. Whether you are on a budget or looking to splurge this gift guide has got you covered. As always thank you for reading! I appreciate all of your support. Happy Shopping!

1.Michael Kors tote. I’ve linked the cutest Michael Kors bag that is perfect for spring! It has a really fun floral design on the inside of the tote and is sure to make any mom happy. It also comes in two different colors.

2.The Bouqs Co. This is an eco-friendly flower delivery service that ship flowers same day. They practice sustainability and partner with local farmers so you get the freshest flowers while helping the environment.

3.4 things tote. As seen on Amy from The Bobby Bones Show. This is a customizable tote bag, you pick the top four things that describe your recepient (mom) and proceeds support the Heartline maternity center in Haiti. The center provides mom’s to be with prenatal as well as L&D care they might not otherwise receive. This is such a wonderful gift that supports other women so what’s not to love?! (More information about the center can be found with the tote link)

4.Barefoot Dreams robe. BD has such soft comfort products and it is worth the price tag! I linked one of my favorite robes that is so perfect and cozy. It comes in several different colors to give you options.

5.Philosophy “Amazing Grace” gift set. I love philosophy because their products are such great quality and smell amazing (especially the cinnabun body wash). This is a perfect gift for any time of the year. The ” Amazing Grace” scent isn’t overwhelming and the set comes with perfume, shower gel, and lotion.

6.Kendra Scott gift set. Anything Kendra Scott would be an amazing gift for the accessory-loving mom. I picked this gift set because the necklace is classic Kendra Scott and the earrings are fun and different. KS creates quality jewelry and founder and CEO, Kendra has an inspiring story as to how she got her company started. She is truly the definition of an awesome Girl Boss and gives back to many charities.

7.Ugg Slippers. These Ugg house shoes are comfy and sure to make any mom happy! They are such good quality and come in six different color combinations. I have a pair myself and wear them all the time.

8.“Mama” ring. This dainty ring is perfect for the mom who likes something simple yet meaningful. It comes in two different colors and would be perfect paired alone or with a ring stack.

9.Jo Malone London Reed Diffuser. This floral scent creates a nice smell throughout the whole house and is such a stylish piece to add to any home. Jo Malone London has quality products that last and this diffuser actually works. This is a great gift for the mom who loves a good smelling house but doesn’t or can’t burn candles.

10.BECCA x Crissy Teigan palette. This face palette is perfect for spring and has the prettiest shimmer and blush pinks. The formula and color pay off are worth the price tag. This gift is perfect for the mom who loves makeup.

11.Magnolia Table Cookbook. Because who doesn’t love Joanna Gaines and Shiplap! No seriously, this cookbook is perfect for any mom who watches Fixer Upper religiously.

12.“Babes Support Babes” Tee. This fun rainbow tee is from Friday x Saturday, a Riffraff brand. The founder of Riffraff, Kirsten, is so inspiring. You should follow her on Insta (@kirstenblowers)! She seems like the coolest girl boss. Riff Raff is sold out of this specific style currently as are every other boutique I have checked but I did find one that still has a very limited stock left.

13. Pampering. A massage, facial, or mani/pedi are the perfect wat to say thank you for all you do. This is a universal gift that I am sure any mom would love to receive.

14.Perennial Flowers. My own mom mentioned this and I think it’s such a nice/unique gift. Who wouldn’t want flowers that come back every year or stay year round. It would be the perfect addition to any garden.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you found this guide helpful! Let me know in the comments your favorite gift to give or get. Happy Friday!!

Influenster

Hey guys!

This post will be about Influenster, a product review company. I first heard about Influenster from a lifestyle vlogger and decided to check it out. Signing up is free and easy. Basically, all you do is link all your social media accounts to Influenster, they then determine your influence or pull in the social media community based on your following. Then you start reviewing products you have tried, which can be anything from foundation to dog treats. Staying active is key to get a voxbox (box with a free product to review) and it is a great site to read reviews on products you have wanted to try but were not sure about. They genuinely want an honest review so it’s important to be truthful.

To get a box you will fill out a survey from the company who is interested. Usually this is on the Influenster homepage. If you receive the box then you will usually have to write a review about the product on their website, state that the item was complimentary, and post pictures to your social media accounts. It is important to participate and follow all rules set forth by the company or getting product won’t happen again. So far I have received products from Nexxus, L’Oreal, and Bareminerals, and Laura Mercier.

There aren’t really any cons to Influenster and the complimentary products I have personally received are nice quality. I like the fact that it’s real people posting real reviews because, on some websites, companies will pay random people to post reviews on their merchandise to boost ratings on the product. I recommend this to anyone who likes reading reviews before buying.

If you are interested and want to create an account or check the website out, I have linked the site and included instructions below.

↓↓↓↓↓

  1. Create account.
  2. Link social media accounts.
  3. Start reviewing.
  4. Get complimentary product! *Follow all instructions set forth by the company to continue receiving boxes.

My Favorite Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

Hey everyone,

Today I will be sharing one of my favorite recipes for chicken. I used to hate cooking but now it’s my favorite, mainly because there are no rules- just creating! This is perfect to make on a cold evening. If you want the recipe keep reading and as always thanks for visiting!

You will need

  • 2 or 3 raw chicken breasts
  • 1- 1 1/2 boxes chicken broth
  • lemon and pepper seasoning
  • regular seasoning salt
  • regular seasoning pepper
  • Egg noodles
  • carrots
  • Slow cooker (i.e. crock-pot)

Cooking instructions

  1. Pour chicken broth in crock pot. (The amount needed depends on how many you are cooking for. More than 5 people I would add 1 1/2 boxes.)
  2. Cut up some fresh carrots and stick inside crock pot. I do two or three carrots total.
  3. Season chicken with lemon and pepper seasoning. Then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Put chicken in the crock-pot and cook on low for 8-9 hours.
  5. Take the chicken out, shred it, and place back in the crock-pot.
  6. Boil noodles separately about 45 minutes before you want to serve the meal.
  7. Stick noodles in the crock-pot and mix with other ingredients.
  8. Let everything sit in the crock-pot on low for 30 minutes.
  9. Then serve.

**You can add other veggies if you like or other types of noodles. It’s all about preference and tailoring a recipe to fit your needs. I just found this to be the best option for my family.

That’s all!

Cloudcroft, New Mexico

Hey guys!

Today’s post will focus on travel and I will be talking about a cute little mountain village. So if you are interested keep reading and as always thank you for the support.

Cloudcroft, NM is a short drive from my home in Texas. My husband and I headed up to the mountains on Christmas eve to get away from the desert and take some beautiful photos. Cloudcroft is located in Lincoln National Forest in Southern New Mexico.  For reference, we took US 54 East and then turned off on 82 East at La Luz, NM. There are several look out points on the way up the mountain, they are gorgeous and make for some very pretty photo opportunities so bring your camera.

The trip there was very quick and the little town offered an array of things to do. There is a lodge, several hotels, and cabins. I recommend booking early for the winter months because it fills up quickly (according to the locals). The Apple Barn in your one-stop shop for homemade pies, an authentic old-fashioned soda fountain, canned goods, jams, fudge, knick knacks-honestly they have a good selection of just about everything. We tried the jams and fudge. I recommend the PB/chocolate and Kalhua espresso fudge flavors! Click here for their website and they will ship pies.

They have a Ski resort which we did not check out but the reviews are pretty good. If you’re interested, click here.

The downtown reminded me of something you would see in an old western movie and it’s set back on a little hill. They have a ski gear shop, a mall, bookstore, coffee shop, to name a few. I recommend checking this area out, especially if you have children. They have a little store where children can build their own stuffed animal. There is also had an ice-skating rink, a snow tubing area, 4-wheelers, and hiking trails. The locals are very friendly so don’t be afraid to get recommendations from them if you go.

We chose to hike one of the trails so I could get a few good shots of the scenery. My favorite part about Cloudcroft is that through the mountains and trees you can see White Sands. This specific trailhead we took led us to an abandoned railroad trellis (the whole reason I wanted to go here). The village was established to support the railroad that went through it and for awhile was the only way to access the town. The story is that it was one of the most dangerous railroads to build, the path was curvy and there were many ravines. I captured some photos of the trellis and information from the boards at one of the lookouts. The look out going into Cloudcroft has all the information regarding the railroad that I just mentioned.

Overall it was a fun day trip with plenty to see, eat, and do. If you are looking for a quiet snowy getaway or you love hiking and nature, then Cloudcroft may be something worth checking out.

If you are interested there is more information on Cloudcroft here. There are some pictures from our trip down below. Leave me a comment with some of your favorite travel destinations!

Ringin’ in the New Year

Hey, Y’all!

***First, I’m doing a big makeup giveaway to celebrate the launch of my blog! Please read my very first post all the way through and then head on over to my Instagram (@hayleyy_hall) to enter!! All giveaway rules will be found there. My social media handles will also be at the end of this post. Thank you for the support and best of luck!!**

OK, Winter is one of my favorite seasons by far. The colors, the chunky sweaters, the sequins all give me MAJOR heart eyes. I love everything about it so I have put together a post full of some of my own personal favorite pieces. I will link everything where you can find the exact items or similar ones below each picture. Hopefully, I can provide some outfit inspo! Enjoy!! Thanks for visiting.

OUTFIT #1 This outfit is the coziest while still adding that pop of glam. It is so versatile you could wear it for any function. The sequin skirt is a  recurring holiday look every year as well and so is this super soft sweater. Which is awesome because you will be able to find the perfect one that fits your style and price point! I’m wearing a pair of nude Antonio Melani heels but you could change it up with lace-up heels, boots, or even some cute sparkly flats. This specific pair is no longer sold but I have linked similar styles.

OUTFIT #2 This dress is pure holiday perfection! I purchased it from Modish Maze boutique a few years ago so I have linked similar ones below. If you want to stand out then a sequin dress is definitely for you. It would be perfect with a black leather jacket or a faux fur cardi depending on if you want to look edgy or glam. I chose to pair it with these crushed velvet heels and an Erimish stack. You really don’t need to accessorize much because the dress will speak for itself. The shoes are no longer sold so I linked a very similar style from the same designer and they are on sale! : )

OUTFIT#3 I love this pink sweater from Express and it’s on sale right now! This is a great way to add a pop of color to your winter wardrobe. The leggings are so comfy and they are also from Express. I’ve paired it with these studded cheetah print pumps to add some edge to my outfit. These shoes are actually a good designer dupe for Valentino T-strap pumps. You can always dress this down with a pair of ballet flats if heels aren’t your thing. These shoes are no longer sold but I’ve linked similar styles of flats and pumps for you. I also recommend checking Poshmark because they have a better selection of this exact style. I chose minimal accessories and I feel like the lace bralette really ties this outfit together.

OUTFIT #4 This next outfit is the prettiest red dress. You honestly can’t go wrong with a dress for the holidays. Just accessorize and you are good to go! This is crushed red velvet and has a cute criss-cross detail on the back. This could be dressed up or down depending on what event you are going to. I’ve paired these with some black boots, drop earrings, and a bracelet stack. These earrings are currently on sale!

OUTFIT #5 By now you have probably figured out dresses are my favorite New Years Look! This gorgeous wine colored midi dress is by Jessica Simpson and it’s on major sale right now ($29.75). It’s a super stretchy fabric with v-cutouts and a criss-cross design in the front. This dress is perfect for any function. I paired it with these stunning Antonio Melanie heels. These are hands down the most comfortable heels I’ve ever owned. I don’t know if it’s the crushed velvet or the design of the shoe itself but they are awesome! I did go up one full size in these, European designer shoes tend to run on the small side so I recommend sizing up, especially in Antonio Melani. I linked a very similar style from the same designer and they are on sale right now! Yay!! : )
